Established in 1912, the All India Shia Orphanage is an old and most elite welfare home for orphan children. The orphanage was founded with the objective of giving shelter, education, and a nurturing environment to the ones who lost their families at a tender age.

 

The Mission of the Orphanage:

 

Provides free education in religious and contemporary subjects to the orphaned children.

  1. Anjuman Tahaffuz Matar Mutabaraka – Protecting Holy Sites

Over the years, a number of the sacred Shia shrines have faced danger due to political and social unrest. It is in regard to this that the Anjuman Tahaffuz Matar Mutabaraka was formed in order to protect and preserve the sacred sites.

 

 Major Aims of the Anjuman:

 

Identifies and restores historical and religious sites of importance to Shia heritage.

Promotes government intervention and protection under the law for threatened sacred sites.

Ensures proper upkeep, maintenance, and administration of these locations for pilgrims in the present day and for generations to come.

This organization remains the protector of Shia religious and historical sites to make such places available where they are or to establish one.

  1. Awqaf Section – Maintenance of Shia Waqf Properties throughout India

The Shia waqf properties are of great religious, social, and economic significance. Nevertheless, with the evolution of time, most of the waqf properties have encountered legal issues, encroachment, and mismanagement. In order to handle these issues, the Awqaf Section of the AISC was developed.

 

⚖️ Functions and Duties of the Awqaf Section:

 

Operates towards the protection and legal formation of Shia waqf properties throughout India.

Offers legal assistance and documentation services to avert encroachment and abuse.

Ensures waqf properties’ proceeds end up in the welfare of the community.

Cooperates with the government and judiciary to ensure the interests of the Shia community are protected regarding waqf properties.

The Awqaf Section continues to be pertinent in preserving religious endowments to ensure they achieve their rightful intent for future generations.
